We recently spent a few days with the awesome guys at Hope Technology. If you don't know Hope then get clued up, these guys take British Engineering to the highest level. Producing pretty much every little part of their products in-house at their facility in Barnoldswick in Yorkshire/Lancashire (its controversial!). The high tech machinery and set-up they have in the factory is simply amazing. We really are talking Formula 1 level technology and machining. Have a watch and see for yourself. Thanks to the guys at Hope for all their support of MTBcut over the years.

We recently headed up to No Fuss Events new event the Macavalanche to make a video for title sponsors IXS. What a crazy event! Really tough to film through as it was all finished in 11 minutes and as glamorous as it is filming from a Helicopter, all I had to work with was some high winds and an open window out the side of the Heli!
Everyone knows Chain Reaction are a huge bike shop. You click away at your mouse and then get you're shiny new product in the post super fast. However we were give a unique opportunity to go inside and make a video with the guys at CRC to show the World how it all works. A great little insight into the CRC machine!
We just spent the week with the team in South Africa at the first World Cup of 2011
We spent last weekend over in Ireland with the Chain Reaction Cycles crew as they prepare for the World Cup Season. Unfortunately the trip turned into a nightmare for the team as two of their riders, Matt Simmons and Lew Buchanan both suffered major injuries. One the other hand it was great to see Matti Lehikoinen healthy and winning after lots of recent injury problems. Check out our very injury focussed edit... we're really quite pleased with it!
Possibly the worst thing to happen since the birth of Ben Cathro

As is tradition with this edit we get handed the music (that is used annually and specifically composed for the festival) and use mostly our own footage to put it together. It shows many of the great activities you can do in the Outdoor Capital of the UK along with some great footage we shot in 2010

A few weeks ago I spend one very wet, very windy day at Innerliethen with European Junior Champion and team Lapierre international pinner Sam Flockhart. Sam is straight off the back of his first season of World Cup competition so I asked him a little about his experience and riding with podium rider Sam Blenkinsop. The weather was terrible but the edit turned out well enough I think
I was browsing round the usual social media sites (are you following us on twitter/fb) and I found this courtesy of Rich (Cunny) Cunynghame, its a skate film about some kids who skate in Afganistan. Truly incredible, stunning, inspirational...... you add some more words!
Unless you have been living underneath a rock for the past few days you should have seen this already.... nevertheless its always worth a watch. Danny Macaskill is one of our favourite guys here at MTBcut. He has featured on several of our videos and is one of the most down to earth dudes you will meet. He deserves all the success that has come his way.
Last week we headed down to Wales to meet up with Fabien Barel (double mtb World Champ) to film a new instalment of the Trail Diaries for Mojo Suspension.
